Hello friends, this month I wanted to share something that has been spinning around in my mind. God has been good to us, He has provided us with everything we need and more. I am not only talking about material things, I am also talking about opportunities. In this time when we have been preparing for Mongolia, there have been countless occasions that God has provided. He has provided contacts that bring us closer to Mongolia, provided friends and family to accompany us, provided people who support our ministry, provided opportunities to move forward, and much much more. I think it is more than clear that God provides, I know you have heard this a lot. An example in the Bible is the following.
Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
But, in addition to being grateful that God provides and supplies our needs, what I have been thinking about is the why? And I think that to understand God's provision correctly, we have to first understand that He created everything.
Psalm 24: 1
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;
Everything is His and He decides to share His creation with us. When God supplies, His provision does not become ours. It does not become our money, our car, our friends, but He decides to share it. I want to explain the importance of this with an example. If I had a shirt, and I ask you to give it to me. I will be completely grateful. Maybe after some time I forget the gift or the shirt won't work anymore. But if I need a shirt, and you share your shirt with me not only is there a transfer of a good, but a bond is created, because now we share something. Obviously you do not expect me to return the shirt, but the bond is created and the more things we share, the more the bond is. Well, that's how God is with us. We cannot voluntarily take possession of His blessings, because creation and all those who inhabit it continue to be His. Instead, every time God blesses us and supplies a need, He is supplying doubly, because He is giving us something. more so that we share it. It not only meets the need but also it seeks to strengthen the bond with His creation.
1 Chronicles 29:14
But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.
Speaking of receiving blessings, God continues to provide. A few days ago we had a Zoom meeting with several of the people in Mongolia that we are going to work with. It was incredible being able to meet and hear about their experiences and what God is doing in Mongolia. We had the opportunity to talk about important topics such as functions of the ministry, options of where to live, what to bring and not to bring and visas. Let me tell you that it seems that there are two Visa options for us. I ask for your prayer to clarify some points and decide which is the best option. Everything indicates that our date to arrive in Mongolia is in May, this means that we may possibly leave Costa Rica in March or April. This month we have been quite busy, Aemilii is working full in a local ministry for women, I for my part, continue to work and we also have the opportunity to give a course focused on missions in our church, I love teaching classes of this type. Another piece of good news is that we officially finished all the courses and all the preparation books for Mongolia. In two weeks we are going to the US to carry out the last two face-to-face preparation courses before we leave. After that we go to Minnesota to see Aemilii's family for Thanksgiving. So, it is very likely that we will not send this newsletter in November. Another thing I wanted to mention is that I had surgery for appendicitis a few days ago and the truth is, God is very good and took perfect care of me. I never had a lot of pain and I already feel completely recovered from the operation. We hope to have more news for you in December, as everything seems to be accelerating in recent months.

Hola amigos, este mes quería compartirles algo que ha estado dando vueltas en mi mente. Dios ha sido bueno con nosotros, nos ha provisto de todo lo que ocupamos y más. No solo hablo de cosas materiales, también habló de oportunidades. En este tiempo en que hemos estado preparándonos para Mongolia, han sido innumerables las ocasiones que Dios ha provisto. Ha provisto contactos que nos ponen más cerca de Mongolia, ha provisto amigos y familia que nos acompañan, ha provisto personas que apoyan nuestro ministerio, ha provisto oportunidades para movernos adelante, y mucho mucho más. Creo que es más que claro que Dios provee, se que han oído esto mucho. Un ejemplo en la Biblia es el siguiente.
Filipenses 4:19 Así que mi Dios les proveerá de todo lo que necesiten, conforme a las gloriosas riquezas que tiene en Cristo Jesús
Pero, además de ser agradecido que Dios provee y suple nuestras necesidades, lo que he estado pensando es en el ¿Por qué?. Y creo que para entender la provisión de Dios correctamente, tenemos que entender primero que Él creó todo.
Salmo 24:1
Del Señor es la tierra y todo cuanto hay en ella, el mundo y cuantos lo habitan
Todo es suyo y él decide compartir de su creación con nosotros. Cuando el provee, su provisión no se convierte en nuestra. No se convierte en nuestro dinero, nuestro carro, nuestros amigos, sino que decide compartirlo. Y quiero explicar la importancia de esto con un ejemplo. Si yo ocupara una camisa, y le pido a usted que me la regale. Yo voy a estar completamente agradecido. Quizá, después de algún tiempo se me olvide el regalo o la camisa ya no sirva más. Pero si yo ocupo una camisa, y usted me comparte su camisa. No solo hay una transferencia de un bien, sino que se crea un vínculo, porque ahora compartimos algo, obviamente usted no espera que yo le devuelva la camisa, pero el vínculo se crea y entre más cosas compartamos, más fuerte es el vínculo. Pues así es Dios con nosotros. Nosotros no podemos tomar posesión voluntaria de sus bendiciones, porque la creación y todos los que en ella habitan siguen siendo de Él. En lugar de eso, cada vez que Dios nos bendice y suple una necesidad, está supliendo doblemente, porque nos está entregando algo más para que lo compartamos, no solo suple la necesidad sino que busca fortalecer el vínculo con su creación.

Pero ¿quién soy yo, y quién es mi pueblo, para que podamos darte estas ofrendas voluntarias? En verdad, tú eres el dueño de todo, y lo que te hemos dado, de ti lo hemos recibido
Hablando de recibir bendiciones, Dios continúa proveyendo. Hace unos días tuvimos una reunión por Zoom con varias de las personas en Mongolia con las que vamos a trabajar. Fue increíble, poder conocerlos oír de sus experiencias y lo que Dios está haciendo allá. Tuvimos la oportunidad de hablar de temas importantes como funciones del ministerio, opciones de donde vivir, que traer, que no traer y visas. Les cuento que parece ser que hay dos opciones de Visa para nosotros. Les pido oración para que se aclaren algunos puntos y decidir cuál es la mejor opción. Todo apunta a que nuestra fecha para llegar a Mongolia es en Mayo, esto significa que posiblemente salgamos de Costa Rica en Marzo o Abril. Este mes hemos estado bastante ocupados, Aemilii está de lleno en un ministerio local para mujeres, yo por mi parte sigo trabajando y también tenemos la oportunidad de dar un curso enfocado en misiones en nuestra iglesia, a mi me encanta dar clases de este tipo. Otra buena noticia es que oficialmente terminamos todos los cursos y todos los libros de preparación para Mongolia. En dos semanas nos vamos a USA a llevar los últimos dos cursos presenciales de preparación antes de irnos. Después de eso vamos a Minnesota a ver a la familia de Aemilii para Thanksgiving. Por lo que es muy probable que no mandemos este boletín en Noviembre. Otra cosa que quería mencionar es que tuve una cirugía por apendicitis hace unos días y la verdad Dios es muy bueno, porque me fue muy bien. Nunca tuve mucho dolor y ya me siento completamente recuperado de la operación. Esperamos tener más noticias para ustedes en diciembre, ya que todo parece acelerarse en estos últimos meses.
