Hello friends, this month I have two stories for you.

As some of you know, in Mongolia we are going to have the help an organization that has been in the country for many years. Last month, we were invited to be part of an annual meeting that the organization holds. It is usually face-to-face, but because of… Covid… this year it was virtual. People involved with this organization in various parts of the world came together, including the group that is in Mongolia. We were able to introduce ourselves to part of the team that we will eventually work with. Then, there was a worship session in Mongolian! This is the part that I want to tell you. Aemilii and I, of course, did not understand anything, but it was an incredible experience because God does not have a language ... Or rather, all languages ​​are from God,. Although we did not understand the words, we could feel it and we are very excited to be able to worship in Mongolian one day!

Revelations 5:13

Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”

The second story was something that happened a few days ago. Aemilii's parents are visiting us now, and that is why we have gone to different parts of Costa Rica. The last trip we made was to Osa Peninsula, a very remote place in Costa Rica with a lot of Biodiversity. It was a good trip, where we saw many animals and all the places where we stayed were very beautiful. We got back to our house, we got down from the car ... and what a surprise! The freezer was not properly closed! It was open for 6 days, of course everything we had in the freezer had to be thrown away, then I proceeded to clean the refrigerator and while I was cleaning it, it turned off on its own! It stopped working! I was very angry with the situation at the time, especially thinking that I did not want to buy a new refrigerator months before we left for Mongolia. I tried unplugging it and letting it cool down for a while, plugged it back in and it didn't work! Then, I went for a walk with Aemilii so I could vent to her. That helped me calm down. As we were almost back to our apartment, I made a prayer to God, almost shouted. Give me peace, give me patience and do something. We got back to the house, and I reconnected the refrigerator ... and nothing, I was still dead, I started to do other things and without hope, and thinking that the next day I had to find someone to check it, or go shopping for a refrigerator. After a few minutes, I heard a sound. It came back to life!

I feel happy, because God listens to all our prayers, even the most insignificant ones for us. But on the other hand, I feel that my reaction could have been much better. Of course, God is in control of everything, He was going to solve the problem one way or another, and my immediate reaction was not to trust Him, but rather in my methods, and in my own strength. I feel that half of our newsletters speak of the faithfulness of God, however I have a lot to learn.

Lamentations 3:22-24

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”

Hola amigos, este mes tengo dos historias para ustedes. Como algunos saben, en Mongolia vamos a contar con la ayuda de una organización que tiene muchos años en el país. El mes pasado nos invitaron a ser parte de una reunion anual que tiene la organización, usualmente es presencial, pero por… Covid… este año fue virtual. Personas involucradas con esta organización en varios lugares del mundo se unieron, incluyendo el grupo que está en Mongolia. Nos pudimos presentar con parte del equipo que eventualmente trabajaremos. Luego hubieron alabanzas en Mongol! y esta es la parte que les quiero contar. Aemilii y yo, por supuesto que no entendimos nada, pero fue una experiencia increíble, porque Dios no tiene idioma… O mejor dicho, todos los idiomas son de Dios, aunque no entendimos lo pudimos sentir y nos emociona muchísimo poder oirlo pronto en Mongolia.

Apocalipsis 5:13

Y oí a cuanta criatura hay en el cielo, y en la tierra, y debajo de la tierra y en el mar, a todos en la creación, que cantaban: «¡Al que está sentado en el trono y al Cordero,

sean la alabanza y la honra, la gloria y el poder, por los siglos de los siglos!»

La segunda historia fue algo que pasó hace unos días. Los Papás de Aemilii están visitándonos, y por eso hemos ido a diferentes lugares del país. El último viaje que hicimos fue a la Península de Osa, un lugar muy remoto de Costa Rica con mucha Biodiversidad. Fue un buen viaje, donde vimos muchos animales y todos los lugares donde nos quedamos fueron muy bonitos. Llegamos de vuelta a nuestra casa, bajamos todo del carro… y que sorpresa! el congelador estaba mal cerrado! Pasó 6 días abierto, por supuesto todo lo que teníamos en el congelador hubo que botarlo, luego procedí a limpiar la refrigeradora y mientras la limpiaba, se apagó! Dejó de funcionar!. Yo estaba muy enojado con la situación en el momento, especialmente pensaba en que no quería comprar una refrigeradora nueva meses antes de irnos a Mongolia. Intenté desconectandola y dejándola que se enfriara un rato, la volví a conectar y no sirvió! Luego me fui a caminar con Aemilii para poder desahogarme con ella, eso me ayudó a calmarme, cuando íbamos de vuelta. Hice una oración a Dios, casi que gritada. Que me diera paz, que me diera paciencia y que hiciera algo. Llegamos de vuelta a la casa, y volví a conectar la refrigeradora… y nada, seguía muerta, me puse a hacer otras cosas ya sin esperanza, y pensando en que el dia siguiente tenia que buscar a alguien que la revisara, o ir a comprar una refrigeradora. Luego de unos minutos oí un sonido. Revivió!

Me siento feliz, porque Dios escucha todas nuestras oraciones, hasta las más insignificantes para nosotros. Pero por otro lado siento que mi reacción pudo haber sido mucho mejor. Por supuesto que Dios tiene el control de todo, El de una o otra manera iba a solucionar el problema, y mi reacción inmediata no fue confiar en Él, sino en mis métodos, en mis fuerzas. Siento que la mitad de nuestros boletines hablan de la Fidelidad de Dios, sin embargo me queda mucho por aprender.

Lamentaciones 3: 22-24

El gran amor del Señor nunca se acaba, y su compasión jamás se agota.

Cada mañana se renuevan sus bondades; ¡muy grande es su fidelidad!

Por tanto, digo: El Señor es todo lo que tengo. ¡En él esperaré!
