Hay momentos en los que Dios te permite tomar un respiro y aprender algo importante. Da alegría y deleite no solo funcionalidad. Resolvió nuestra naturaleza pecaminosa dándonos Su Espíritu y también nos da gozo y deleite. Era la fiesta de Navidad para el ministerio que sirvo aquí en Costa Rica cerca de la iglesia. Estaba sentada en una mesa de mujeres por las que había orado y había hecho todo lo posible por amar. Miré a uno de nuestros apoyantes, Ale, y compartió un mensaje con todos los presentes. Él compartió el Evangelio con tanta claridad y amor durante nuestro evento navideño. Fue un momento inesperado. No habíamos planeado que él compartiera, pero ahí estaba. Sentí que el tiempo se detenía y solo sonreí. Fue un placer servir junto con uno de nuestros apoyantes. A veces, mientras me preparo mentalmente para mudarme a un nuevo país, me he sentido distante de mis amigos y seres queridos. Sentí que me olvidarían una vez que salgamos físicamente de Costa Rica. En este momento que compartió Ale, se sintió como un gran honor asociarse con otros cristianos. Sentí que aunque las millas y los océanos, desiertos pueden dividirnos, estamos unidos en la misma misión, compartir las buenas nuevas de Jesucristo al mundo. Así que, sin embargo, puedo ser olvidada o las relaciones pueden cambiar ya que no estoy físicamente con otros, el mensaje de Cristo no lo hace. Qué privilegio servir con otros y compartir la gran noticia de una relación reconciliada con el Dios del Universo.
1 Corintios 1:10
Les suplico, hermanos, en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que todos vivan en armonía y que no haya divisiones entre ustedes, sino que se mantengan unidos en un mismo pensar y en un mismo propósito.
Esa no fue la única vez que Dios me dio un momento para reflexionar. Este momento llegó unas semanas antes. Como muchos de ustedes saben, durante el mes de noviembre tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar los Estados Unidos. ¡El propósito principal era tomar nuestro entrenamiento final para Mongolia antes de obtener la autorización para mudarnos! La capacitación estuvo bien planificada, fue edificante y realmente disfrutamos poder conocer a otros misioneros que se dirigen a otros países, así como otros que ya habían estado sirviendo. Dios fue tan generoso con nosotros que incluso nos permitió conocer a un misionero que había vivido en Mongolia durante varios años y que nos enseñó mi nueva frase favorita en Mongolia. La próxima vez que nos veas, ¡pregúntanos qué es! ¡Es prácticamente imposible escribir! Después de eso, pasamos un tiempo visitando a mi familia. Fue muy agradable poder asistir y ayudar a organizar el baby shower de mi hermana. Después de casi un mes en los Estados Unidos, regresamos a Costa Rica emocionados de dar los últimos pasos para entrar al campo. Se sintió casi extraño llegar a Costa Rica porque la ubicación de nuestro hogar ha ido cambiando. Al aterrizar, nos dimos cuenta en nuestras mentes y corazones de que la próxima vez que estuviéramos en un lugar sería de camino a Mongolia.
Te invito a que aproveches los momentos que Dios te da para ver Su poder y amor en tu vida. Durante esta temporada navideña podemos recordar que Dios verdaderamente está con nosotros.
Mateo 1:23
La virgen concebirá y dará a luz un hijo, y lo llamarán Emanuel (que significa «Dios con nosotros»).
Antes de despedirme, quería compartir un poco sobre los pasos que debemos seguir antes de mudarnos. Entonces, ¡parece que nos dirigiremos a Mongolia en Mayo! ¡Hurra! Eso significa que saldríamos de Costa Rica en marzo o abril a los Estados Unidos para trabajar en nuestras visas y despedirnos de la familia de Aemilii. Para que podamos obtener la autorización de ABWE, nuestra agencia de envío, para comprar boletos y listo, debemos estar al 100% de nuestro soporte mensual en enero o febrero. Esta es una noticia emocionante y es asombroso reflejar todo lo que Dios ha hecho hasta ahora. Como puede ver en el diagrama a continuación, ¡estamos muy cerca de alcanzar nuestra meta de soporte mensual! Mientras hacíamos un seguimiento con algunos miembros y verificamos nuestra cantidad de soporte en línea, notamos una tendencia y un error en nuestro soporte. Varias transacciones de nuestros seguidores se han detenido debido a errores de tarjeta. Tuvimos el mismo problema con las nuevas tarjetas de seguidores que no se aceptaron y ese error se había detenido hasta ahora. En este momento, no sabemos qué está causando el error o cómo solucionarlo, pero sabemos que Dios ha proporcionado soluciones a muchos desafíos y no se detendrá ahora. Le pedimos que se una a nosotros para orar para que la gloria de Dios se muestre a través de este problema y para permitir que nuestros seguidores nos apoyen fácilmente económicamente.
Aemilii
There are moments when God allows you to take a breath and take in something important. He provides joy and delight not only functionality. He solved our sinful nature by giving us His Spirit and also he gives us joy and delight. It was the End of the Year Christmas party for the ministry I serve here in Costa Rica close to church. I was seated at a table of women I have prayed for and done my best to love. I looked up at one of our supporters, Ale, shared a message with everyone present. He was so clearly and lovingly sharing the Gospel during our Christmas event. It was an unexpected moment. We hadn’t planned for him to share but there he was. I felt time hold still and just smiled. It was a joy to serve together with one of our supporters. Sometimes as I mentally prepare to move to a new country, I have felt distant from friends and loved ones. I have felt like I will be forgotten once we physically leave Costa Rica. In this moment as Ale shared, it felt like such an honor to partner with other Christians. I felt that though miles, and oceans deserts may divide us, we are united in the same mission, to share the good news of Jesus Christ to the world. So though, I may be forgotten or relationships may change as I am not physically with others, the message of Christ does not. What a privilege to serve with others and share the great news of a reconciled relationship with the God of the universe.

That was not the only time God gave me a moment to reflect. This moment came a few weeks before. As many of you know, during the month of November we had the opportunity to visit the states. The primary purpose was to take our final training for Mongolia before getting clearance to move! The training was well planned, edifying and we really enjoyed being able to meet other missionaries who were heading to the field as well as who had been serving already was our biggest take away. God was so generous to us to even allow us to get to know a missionary who had lived in Mongolia for a number of years and who taught us my favorite new mongolian phrase. Next time you see us ask us what it is! It’s pretty much impossible to write! Following that, we spent some time visiting my family. It was so nice to be able to attend and help host my sister’s baby shower. After almost a month in the States we came back to Costa Rica excited to take the final steps to getting on the field. It felt almost strange arriving in Costa Rica because our home location has been changing. As we landed, we realized in our minds and hearts that the next time we were in a place it would be on the way to Mongolia.
I invite you to take the moments God gives you to see His power and love in your life. During this Christmas season we can remember that God truly is with us.

Before I sign off, I wanted to share a bit about the steps we have to take before we move. So, it seems like we will be heading for Mongolia in May! yay! That means we would leave Costa Rica in March or April to the States to work on our visas and say our good byes to Aemilii’s family. For us to get clearance from, ABWE, our sending agency to buy tickets and go, we need to be at 100% of our monthly support in January or February. This is exciting news and it’s amazing to reflect all that God has done so far. As you can see in diagram below, we are getting so close to reaching our monthly support goal! While following up with a few members and checking our support amount online, we noticed a trend and error in our support level. A number of our supporters transactions have been stopped due to card errors. We had this same problem with new supporters cards not being accepted and that error had stopped until now. At this time, we do not know what is causing the error or how to fix it but we know God has provided solutions to many challenges and will not stop now. We ask you to join us in praying for God’s glory to be displayed through this problem and to allow our supporters to easily support us financially.
